Perhaps you are considering spending a lot of cash on a pet-store puppy.Yes, the pup is worth it. Yet their parents might have a sad story to tell.See, most of pet-store puppies come from puppy-mills and puppy-mills torture dogs.The parents are just raised for their young not for their tender love.Dogs at puppy-mills are euthanized or killed when they can no longer breed.Not only that, but they add to the over-population which causes animal shelters to euthanize more of their dogs.
It is also known that most of the time, puppies from puppy-mills have disease.
What can we do?
1.We can consider adopting a pet at our local animal-shelter.
2. We can boy-cot pet-stores that sell puppy-mill dogs.
3.We can take the pledge at http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/puppy_mills/
4. We can spread the word
5. We can spay and neuter our pets
